Review Count with Suspend, and auto suspend?
Hi All,
I am in a situation where I add tons of content to anki (vocab from reading online) and I really only want to review those cards for 1 to 2 months, after which I suspend them. I have my reasons for this, and I am at peace with not SRSing forever and even forgetting things (^^).
However, my situation is that if I have a 10-card review limit per day, and I see a card, check the answer, then decide to suspend it, that card doesn't count towards reviews. It is at the point where I suspend so many cards that even doing "10" reviews might mean I see something like 30 cards. This is a bit time-consuming.
My question is: Is there a way to auto-suspend cards that reach the "see next time in XX" months, where I can pick XX to be ~3 months or something, at which point the card will be suspended?
Ideally, Anki's behavior would be such that if I see a card's answer side and then suspend it, that that card counts towards the "review" count.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Kevin

One way is to use the browser, sort by "Duration", select all cards bigger than a certain duration, and then suspend them.
You probably only need to do this every month - you will catch the "long duration" cards before they become due.

You can also filter with prop:ivl>=90 , and by reps, lapses, ease, see http://ankisrs.net/docs/manual.html#searching
There are also addons for other criteria.

Keeping the quota of 10 cards while some cards will need to be suspended.
You can make an Empty deck ,
move your 10 cards there and
you will not have to keep track of Suspended cards. This method of course will affect the "Changed Date' column in Browser - if you care about that.
