How to choose New Interval and Starting Ease?
Has anyone found a useful way to choose New Interval for Lapses?
I have mostly been tweaking Starting Ease, but New Interval depends on the actual card more than that, and can be changed when the card is not New anymore, but again, it works on all cards.
However, I have already been getting cards down to 130%, so changing NI to 50 % recently may have been a bad idea.
Now I installed Pretzel Logic, and thought I should change NI so that Retention is the same in Young and Mature blocks. It was already about the same in some decks though.
An idea for the SE setting: measure how much the Ease falls from its starting value for cards with a certain ease (started over a somewhat uninterrupted period when the ease was used the most). It would still depend on NI and other settings, but be better than just taking an average Ease.
