About a month about I launched Polar - a powerful offline browser for Mac, Windows, and Linux for managing all your web content, books, and notes. Polar keeps all your content in one place, supports tagging, annotation, highlighting and keeps track of your reading progress.

The key thing about Polar for the Anki community is that it has awesome support for Anki sync.

We use Anki Connect which allows you to create flashcards and sync them in Anki when you're using Polar.

I'm a HUGE Anki fan and SRS fan in general so this is a key feature of Polar.

To get Anki to work with Polar you have to install the Anki Connect add on and then just trigger "Tools | Sync Flashcards with Anki" from the document repository.

Polar is Open Source and free to use so please feel free to download it and give us feedback.

So far our launch has been great with people LOVING Polar so I'm really happy the community is excited about it as I am:
