ask about space repetition
I had read anki's guide about space repetition ,and curious about this line
"In SuperMemo’s spaced repetition system, every time you answer a question, you tell the program how well you were able to remember it - whether you forgot completely, made a small mistake, remembered with trouble, remembered easily, etc. The program uses this feedback to decide the optimal time to show you the question again. Since a memory gets stronger each time you successfully recall it, the time between reviews gets bigger and bigger - so you may see a question for the first time, then 3 days later, 15 days later, 45 days later, and so on"
*btw, anybody know how to bold text here? see this part
" whether you forgot completely, made a small mistake, remembered with trouble, remembered easily, etc"
I think that way is a lot better than current anki's button
(easy,hard,good)
why didnt anki become like that instead?
and ,any tips to use anki's button?

Anki 1.2.x had more buttons. But with more buttons, you can't rate as easily by putting 4 fingers on the number keys. Also it takes time to decide which button to press, which might be better spent thinking whether the card is needed, whether it can be improved and similar.

Basically, it makes it easier to review and it works nearly as well. This is discussed at the very bottom of the manual: http://ankisrs.net/docs/manual.html#what-spaced-repetition-algorith...

P.S. You can bold text by enabling Markdown in the lower-right corner of the entry box, then putting
**double asterisks**
around the text: double asterisks. There should be a formatting help link too once you've enabled it.Support Staff 4 Posted by Damien Elmes on 23 Feb, 2014 07:21 AM
Aleksej, Anki 1.2 also used 4 buttons for reviews.
