Here's a test build made with the latest version of the GUI toolkit:

Please give it a go and post back on this thread with any bugs you've noticed are fixed compared to 2.0.8 (especially language handling), and any regressions you've noticed. One that I haven't been able to fix so far is that there's no focus highlight around the active button during review or on the bottom of the screen, which makes tab navigation impossible.

For me, the updated version simply doesn't work. The program loads, but the main window (in which the various decks usually appear) is completely blank. I've attached two screenshots, one of the blank window and the other of an error I receive when I run the "Check Decks" function.

    For reference, I'm running OS X 10.8.3.

Please move away Documents/Anki (but keep it safe, as that's where your collection & backups are), then start the app again. Does it start ok with a fresh database?

That worked. It started just fine with a fresh database, and the Syriac issue I mentioned earlier was fixed. (I wasn't able to successfully import my old databases, though.)

I've seen this happen during my testing too, and will look into it.

Sorry for the delay; I've just updated that file and it should no longer error when loading existing profiles. It also includes all other changes that have been made to the source code since the last build.
