"Cards mapped to nothing will be deleted" when changing card type

Can someone please translate? Does this mean that it has detected one or more cards that have a blank side, and it wants to delete those during this format change? Or something else?

Is there a way to keep it from deleting such cards during the format change? (I'm changing all my reversed cards to basic cards.)

Thanks!

That means it will delete the reverse cards, if the second card is the one mapped to nothing.

Thanks. That helps with half of my question. "Mapped to nothing" is not a
phrase that non-programmers would automatically understand, so in my
question I was asking for translation on that. Does it mean that one of the
    fields is blank?

It sounds like I have nothing to worry about as far as data being deleted
if my reverse cards that are being converted to basic cards have all the
fields filled out. Is that correct?

    Thanks!

When something (as a field) is mapped to nothing, it will be deleted:

Thank you. All these fields do not show up on my cards. And if they did, are you saying that having just one of them blank would lead to auto-deletion? Not good. That's a lot of territory to have to have perfected to save your cards and a lot of work. Am I misunderstanding?

On my cards, I simply see a front and back, so I assume those are the only fields that the warning message is referring to. And may I also assume that if I'm getting the warning, that it has detected a card missing one of those essential fields?

    What is a blank field?

@megsue7, can you show a screenshot of your Change Note Type window as I did of mine?
