Learning phase cards all being reset when I sync to anki web

I have a ton of cards (about ~130) in the learning phase in various decks (I know I shouldn't be doing this in the first place) but it's essentially a working queue of cards for me to go through. Anyway for some reason today every time I sync to ankiweb, ALL of these cards are reset as new cards, thus losing progress of my queue. I've tried switching between 2.1 and 2.0. The only thing that doesn't result in resetting all my learning cards is if I turn off my internet and sync (still creates a backup save).

I'm thinking it's possibly because I have too many cards in 'learning' right now. I'm working on clearing those out right now, but I'm still running into this problem. This is preventing me from syncing to anki mobile which I use a lot.

Any ideas?

    Hi Tom,

    There is no limit on learning cards, and they shouldn't reset to new on their own when syncing. I noticed you are not using the new scheduler, and you have a lot of filtered decks, so is it possible you are including those cards in your decks? That will cause them to reset each time a filtered deck is built or emptied.

    The Anki 2.1 scheduler

    If you search for is:learn prior to syncing, and search again after syncing, you should see the same cards listed unless those cards were changed on your other device first.

    I figured out the issue. I just had to rate all my is:learn cards. I also
    re-optimized my database so that might've done the trick too, I'm not sure.

    Thank you for developing Anki, it seriously changed my life and I don't
    know how I would've gotten through my medical education without it. I'll be
    on the lookout for when you offer more ways to support Anki, as I'll be
    more than happy to help fund development in the future.
