Error when syncing file to AnkiWeb

Hi. I have been using Anki (and AnkiDroid) for 9 years or more, and I love it!

However, the last 3 times I synced my collection to AnkiWeb, Anki has reported an error. After running 'Check Databse' the collection then syncs OK. There is no problem syncing from AnkiWeb to Anki, nor syncing AnkiWeb to or from AnkiDroid.

How can I prevent these errors occurring?

    Please follow the steps on

    When problems occur

    The issue may be related to syncing while the browse window is open?

    You may be right. Certainly I have recently sometimes clicked on 'Sync' in the main window when the browse window and/or the add window is open. This immediately closes both these other windows, so I didn't see any reason not to do it.

    I'll make sure that I close the browse window in future before syncing.
