Hierarchical Tags Error

1) Installed Anki
2) Installed add-on
3) Synched with my account settings and decks

When I open the Browser, this is what i get:

"Error
An error occurred. Please start Anki while holding down the shift key, which will temporarily disable the add-ons you have installed.
If the issue only occurs when add-ons are enabled, please use the Tools>Add-ons menu item to disable some add-ons and restart Anki, repeating until you discover the add-on that is causing the problem.
When you've discovered the add-on that is causing the problem, please report the issue on the add-ons section of our support site.

Would appreciate your help.

    2.1.17 changed internally so that add-ons that affect the sidebar have to be updated, see the changelog.

    There's no update for your add-on as far as I see. maybe uninstall it and try an alterantive like https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/594329229

    Just wanted to post that the 1st comment suggestion fixes the initial error.

    Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, It had the same error as the
    hierarchichal tags add-on. I don't have a problem on my mac so it's an
    issue with the Windows OS.

    Anyway thanks again!
