I've used Anki in the past to review for various tests; when trying to install it today, It refuses to run, throwing a Type Error as noted:

$ anki Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/anki", line 6, in aqt.run() File "/usr/share/anki/aqt/__init__.py", line 213, in run pm = ProfileManager(opts.base, opts.profile) File "/usr/share/anki/aqt/profiles.py", line 64, in init self.firstRun = self._loadMeta() File "/usr/share/anki/aqt/profiles.py", line 207, in loadMeta "select data from profiles where name = 'global'")) TypeError: must be string, not None

I'm on Arch Linux (3.7.9-2-ARCH Mon Feb 25 12:04:25 CET 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux); I believe I have all of the dependencies (beautifulsoup,simplejson,QT,pyqt,pysqlite,sqlalchemy,portaudio,sox,matplotlib,python2.7). Is anyone else having this issue? Is there any way to fix it? I also did a reinstall of anki, which didn't help. My next step is to do a full reinstall of anki+all dependencies; I'll update this if that helps. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Please delete ~/Anki/prefs.db, as it appears to be corrupt. The next
version should automatically recover from this state.
