Some users are receiving the following message while reviewing:

"An error occurred in an add-on. Please contact the add-on author. Ignore the above, please download the fix assertion addon."

If you get this message, please download the following add-on:


After it's installed and Anki restarted, please use the new option in the tools menu.

If the problem crops up again in the future, please let us know in this thread. We have not yet been able to isolate what is causing this, though we suspect it may be due to a bug in one of the mobile clients, or something to do with suspending, burying or rescheduling cards.

    Just to give some feedback, it happened to me for the first time after rescheduling cards and I don't use the mobile version.

    The next time the error crops up, please undo the review, find the card in the browser, and use the Info button to review the review history to see what state the card was in. I suspect the problem only happens on eg initial learning cards or lapsed reviews.
