I am new to Anki. I am also new to Fluent-Forever. Video instruction asked me to install a Fluent-Forever, Model Deck into Anki.
The video said when downloaded correctly the model deck will open in Anki.

Anki is working just fine. I was also able to download the model deck but it did not open in Anki. I was able to unzip the Model Deck file. I don't know how to make the Model Deck file/files function with Anki. The model deck will not open in Anki.

Can someone help me with this?

Thank youi,

David S Lindsey

The deck author is Gabriel Wyner,  What is his email address?

    Thank you,

davidoflincoln, can you share a link to the Fluent-Forever Model Deck or provide a bit more info? I'm only aware of https://blog.fluent-forever.com/gallery/ but maybe you're talking about different model deck.

it did not open in Anki

Is there any error message? If you receive something like but there is no field called when you try to review a card,

    Back template has a problem:

Found '⁨{{Optional: Any extra info (Back side of both cards)}}⁩', but there is no field called '⁨ Any extra info (Back side of both cards)⁩'

edit a card, then click on the Cards... button, click Yes if you receive "The requested change will require a full upload...", after that the card template window will be opened and the above problem will be automatically fixed. Just close the card template window and that's all.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

The model deck I am referring to, is the one referenced in
https://blog.fluent-forever.com/gallery/ ; it is the same one.

I was able to down load the deck and unzip it, but it did not open in
Anki.  I did not receive an error message.  Perhaps the model deck
uploaded into Anki, but Anki did not open.  I had to open Anki by hand
and when I did so Anki functioned as it should.

In the meantime I have downloaded someone else's model deck - a deck for
studying German.  I will modify this deck and use it for french.   But I
have been unable to locate a generic/blank model deck like the deck
Gabriel announced in the video on the fluent-forever/gallery blog.

In the meantime I will follow your instructions and if I have further
    problems I will contact you.

    Thank you,

    David S Lindsey

P.S.  I have so far not had any problems using Anki or downloading
some else's model deck into Anki.   And so far I have not had a back
    template problem.

If there were no message, try to import it using Anki - File - Import.
