sometimes 3 and sometimes 4 options to rate how well you know the card
From what I've seen on the Internet usually there are three options to rate how well you know a card: again, good and easy. When I go through my deck, I also have cards with these three options, but I have also got cards where you have four options to rate your card: again, hard, good, easy. This is really annoying since for example the option "good" has either the shortcut 2 (when there are 3 options) or the shortcut 3 (when there are four options). Does anyone know how I can change the number of options or why this even happens in the first place?

Hi,
learning state cards have 3 options while graduated cards have 4 i.e. includes the hard option. That has been the default behavior for ages. Starting from Anki 2.1, If you want to have 4 options at all times you can switch to the scheduler v2.
