Is it possible for Anki to affect the column width now? Then it would be great if, when there are any non-limited columns, columns like dates, Ease, Interval etc could only have a width no more than necessary for what they can ever display in this language.

You can modify the with clicking on the column header and keep the button down while moving the mouse. I have checked and it works on last version as well.

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about me dragging the separators. But I don't want to have to shrink the columns that will always have data with only so much width; if possible, Anki shouldn't let them become wider.

For example, the First Review and Last Review columns never have more than 10 meaningful characters, so unless overridden by an add-on or there are only such restricted fields, they should always be, or at least be initialized when starting Anki, no more than 10 characters wide.
