replacement media file not syncd

Hi,

Not a very important issue, but I copied two new media files into my media folder on the windows version of ANKI, overwriting existing media files of the same name. The desktop version showed the changes OK.

The iPad version (beta) did not show the change and still showed the old media files, so sync had not brought in the new files.

The Android version had the same behaviour.

I then renamed the file reference (for one of the files) in my note to be a different name, as well as renaming the file in my media folder on the desktop version, and then sync worked OK, and the new GIF appeared in the note in the Android version. To my surprise, the other file (no rename or anything) now had been sync'd ok as well. I guess I could have just added any media file and that may well have triggered the media sync, but I have not tested that.

The same behaviour occurred with the iPad version.

Is there any other way to trigger a media sync without any new named files being added?

Cheers,
Les

    Hi Les,

You'll need to update the media folder modification time for Anki to notice any changes have been made.
