Hi Damien,

after creating 2 new profiles with Anki 2.1.26 I noticed that the default setting for "Next day starts at" is very high:

In one profile that I created yesterday it was set to 21.

In one profile that I created today (at around 5pm = 17:00 in German Time format) it was set to 17.

I thought it was weird that both values are so high and that they are not identical, so I thought I'd let you know and ask if this was done on purpose.

One other question, if I may: What is the best way for us addon- and template-developers to learn about upcoming changes to Anki's architecture? It would be great if I could ensure beforehand that everything I put out or recommend is compatible with the next version of Anki.

Best,
Thomas

Thanks for the report, I'll fix this in the next update.

The beta changes page gets updated periodically, and summarises upcoming changes. It typically takes a month or two for a new beta to become a stable release:

The next few months are likely to be similar to the last few months - I'm trying to update the code while largely maintaining compatibility with older Anki versions.
