Hi!

After updating anki to 2.1.26 yesterday, I have encountered a problem..
Sadly, I can't remember what version I had before that (though it wasn't old).

When clicking the answer button (space), there is a random chance that the answer won't appear, until I somehow interact with the card. Like marking it, cliking certain parts of the screen, clicking undo etc. This happens perhaps in 1 of 10 cards, but is very inconsistent.

In addition, there is sometimes a flash of the previous card appearing, before the answer appears.

I have tried uninstalling and installing again,
I have tried diabling all addons.
I have also tried turning off hardware acceleration, but then I just get an error when booting (about openGL), and it just reverts.

Tips?

    Please try the 'angle' video driver: https://changes.ankiweb.net/#/known-issues

    @Damien
    Thanks, that seems to have solved the problem.. Is this a permanent solution? Or do I have to regularly use the angle feature?

    @addons_zz
    FRONT TEMPLATE:
    {{edit:Front}}

    STYLING:
    .card {
     font-family: arial;
     font-size: 20px;
     text-align: center;
     color: black;
     background-color: white;
    }

    hr {
      display: block;
      margin-top: 0.5em;
      margin-bottom: 0.5em;
      margin-left: auto;
      margin-right: auto;
      border-style: solid;
      border-width: 0.2px;
    }

    BACK TEMPLATE:
    <div style="font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 15px;">{{FrontSide}}</div>
    <hr>
    <p>
    <div style="color:#0a68ff">{{edit:Back}}</div>
    <p>
    <div style='font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; color:#a8a8a8'; >{{edit:Extra}}</div>

    It would still be interesting to figure out why this problem occurred to begin with.

    Looks like the new version of QT Anki uses is bugged and cannot use hardware accelleration on your computer. By setting angle, you force QT to use software rendering, (which does not use your GPU, but CPU (slower) to draw the Anki interface).

    ANGLE is not software rendering - it is a Direct3d shim AFAIAA.
