Hey,

I'm trying to install anki app on my computer and the error always occurs right after installation no matter what version I try to use use - 2.1.22, 2.1.25, then later on I tried 2.1.15 (basic and alternate) because I read this might help. The app doesn't open afterwards. I'm attaching the screenshot of the error.
Could you help me solve this?
Thanks in advance.

What is your operating system? Is it x64 or 32 bits?

    Try installing this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If after installing it, it still does not work, try this:

    1. Backup your collection (your Anki directory on your local computer), see Managing Files and Your Collection
    2. Try uninstalling Anki
    3. Ensure the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Anki is deleted
    4. Ensure the directory C:\Program Files\Anki is deleted
    5. And download the latest version from https://apps.ankiweb.net/

If 2.1.15 doesn't work either, I'm afraid there is likely some issue with your system that is preventing Anki from running, and the only solution may be updating your Windows to a newer version.

(or reinstalling it - either of which are quite involved tasks I'm afraid)

I reinstalled it as was mentioned above, I read some tips in other threads before. I have 64bits one.

I won't bother about playing with windows, I'll just start with android app on my phone. Easier way.

    Thank you for the support.
