Paste image URL without Anki processing it as an image. Can I just paste a URL as text?

When I paste a link for an image URL, Anki tries to create an image from the link. Can I just paste the link in as text without having Anki process it? What I'm doing is copy-pasting images from the web into my card. Then, I want to paste in the URL so that I can attribute the image and so that I can go back to the original source in the future. But when I paste in the URL (copied from my browser) Anki tries to process the URL and make another image. Is there a way around this?

This is a known issue, and will hopefully be fixed in a future release.
