Linking ANKI Computer to Web and Mobile

Hi there,

I have an Anki account and have tried to sink my Computer App cards onto the Web app and mobile app, but it doesn't work. On the computer app, it says my Anki account and password are invalid. Which is weird because I literally just signed in with the same account and password on Web App. Any advice on how to proceed and link these three apps?

    Hi Max,

    It looks like you've synced the computer version, so I presume you were able to resolve the issue?

    But I actually do have another question in regards to syncing. So I added some new cards to a deck on my desktop app, and just went into my mobile app and the new cards weren’t there. Why is that? Do I need to sync the decks every time I add cards? I remember a pop up saying that all additions will be synced automatically.

    The computer version will automatically sync each time you open and close it. On mobile devices "opening" and "closing" happens more frequently, so instead you need to tap on 'synchronize' on the decks list to sync. The colour of the text will change as a reminder when a sync is required.
