Hey guys!

So I hope you can help me out.
I bought a new laptop, installed Anki, synchronized my cards and then... discovered that there is some kind of bug in Anki or some kind of driver issue.
Anki or Windows actually showed me an error message, but I was doing cards at the time, so I pressed it away accidentally with the spacebar... (and I can't find it in the error history)...

What the bug does:
> spawns black bars all over the UI
- sometimes they disappeard if you move your move over them, sometimes they don't
> it causes Anki to crash, deleting all the new cards you have added since the last time
> causes Anki to freeze
> causes Anki to close
> sometimes causes distortions: parts/fragments of other cards are being shown in the image, when you uncover the "back" of on of your cards.

Turning off hardware acceleration with the cmd-command has not helped so far as I can say...

Will add a picture of an example of these black bars.

Would really appreciate the help!
Thank you for investing your time to help me with this issue in advance!

You probably need to change your video driver: https://apps.ankiweb.net/docs/knownissues21.html

There is no description of how to change the driver to "angle" etc.
    How do I do that?

You should not need to install any drivers/software - you just need to paste the line described in the help page into cmd.exe, changing 'auto' to 'angle', then hit enter.

    Alright, of course. Thanks!

    Hope it will work.

If I don't answer within 96 hours, the issue is resolved.
