Anki (Computer Version) →
05 Dec, 2019 04:49 AM
I have uninstalled version 2.0.51 on my computer (Microsoft, Windows 10), and installed version 2.1.15. In fact I have done it several times, even though the app says I now have version 2.1.15
When I open Anki on my computer, I still get the warning about the need to update, and it says in "About" that I still have version 2.0.51.

If you didn't uninstall the old version first, you can remove the c:\program files (x86)\anki folder.

Hi Damien, thank you for your reply. Not sure about instruction to type
above the line, not possible to enter characters there.
Do you mean I can delete all the files under c:\program files(x86)\anki
without losing my cards and the information they contain, text, images, mp3

Yes, deleting that folder will not delete your card data.
