Anki (Computer Version) →

I recently received an error message when attempting to sync my decks between devices. It recommended I upload my decks to ankiweb, and then sync my devices and that my decks should be able to be downloaded afterwards.
However, after doing this I lost a really big deck of cards. Is there any possible way to get them back? I searched AnkiWeb and there were no results.... I'm really hoping they aren't gone.
Any help would be so so appreciated

If you accidentally synced in the wrong direction, you may be able to recover your data from an automatic backup:

So I was able to recover my data! Thank you so much. I think some cards were lost, but I'll take it.
To make sure this doesn't happen again how should I go about syncing my cards now..?
I really appreciate the help!
