new cards in random order and due number

I have an issue that looks like a bug. When "Show new cards in random order" option is selected, it seems adding a new card assigns it a random 'due' number. However that number doesn't seem to be limited to 1000000, which means every time "Check database" is done it complains about some cards having due number >= 1000000. Perhaps new card due number limiting should be added?

The assigned random numbers depend on the due numbers of your existing cards. If you reposition the current cards and use check database to update Anki's idea of the highest number, future randomization will use lower numbers.

I'm quite sure I've tried that (followed ) but it still gave very large numbers, even after restarting anki. I've now switched away from using random ordering.

I can't reproduce it using a copy of your AnkiWeb collection - changing one of your decks back to random order gives a maximum due number of ~6000.

I can no longer reproduce it either, no idea what was going on...
