On my system the deck deletes within a second, and the media within a few seconds. Perhaps you have a slow disk, or an antivirus program slowing things down.

No, it isn't because of a slow disk, the disk usage is only a few percent, the app is simply not deleting anything, or does so extremely slowly.Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.-------- Original message --------From: Damien Elmes <[email blocked]> Date: 02/11/2019 23:16 (GMT+01:00) To: [email blocked] Subject: Re: Check media/remove unused bug [Anki (Computer Version) #36654]

As I'm not able to reproduce this, I will keep an eye out for similar reports.

Is there anything I could do to help you figure it out? Are you trying it on
Win 10? I guess it could have something to do with the windows antimalware,
as the process seems to be doing something while Anki is stuck..

Windows Defender does seem to slow things down considerably. If you add an exception for the process c:\program files\anki\anki.exe it will perform better.
