The SVGs generated by Anki are getting cut off in some circumstance, especially when you have a cloze in the exponent. I've attached a couple of screenshots to demonstrate. As can be seen in the pictures the png that was generated was not cut off, but the svg was.

If the images are cut off when you view them in an image viewer, that would seem to indicate LaTeX is to blame. You may be better off using MathJax: https://apps.ankiweb.net/docs/manual.html#mathjax-support

It's happening not in LaTeX, but in dvisvgm. I was able to replicate it with the options you have in latex.py, but if you add the --exact option I believe it will fix the problem. I've attached a zip that has SVGs showing the difference.

Thank you, I will add that in a future update. You may still want to look into MathJax, as it allows you to edit cards on mobile devices and doesn't require syncing media files.

Thanks, I've looked into MathJax at your suggestion, and I'll probably be using it going forward.
