Of course I saw that brief dismissal, since that is the only search
response with input of term VIRUS. It did not comfort me. If you had said
that ANKI is incorrectly identified as carrying the OSX/MacOffer virus (or
listed others that appear in false positives with Anki installs) that would
be information I (and others) could use.
I am hoping that Intego VirusScan will give me the answers I need to feel
secure in using ANKI again. At this point, I do not have that security.
There have been numerous instances in the past where antivirus programs have incorrectly claimed Anki had a virus, and in every case they have been wrong, so please direct any frustration you're having at your AV company.
It is hard to TRUST until you hear it from the horse's mouth. False
Positive indeed. Now back to work!

Since the ANKI app disappeared from my APPS folder after clicking the BLOCK
option, I went to reinstall and before doing so scanned the downloaded
file. It was infected with a known virus, or at least appeared to be. It is
now quarantined. Where do I go from here? I did inform Anki about this

Was the ANKI app Quarantined? If so you can open the Quarantine Zone and
select the app and then click the button to Trust it. For more information
about this please click the following link to the appropriate section of
the User Manual:
Virus Barrier indicated that ANKI app was infected so I immediately blocked
it. I need to unblock it. ANKI indicates that some antivirus programs have
not update to recognize the most recent versions. I BADLY need this
unblocked to continue the work in progress today. Please help. I cannot
find UNBLOCK anywhere in your helps material.
