Multi-sided cards

I use Anki since many years and I always liked it very much. Now I found out
that there is another software org-drill:

which allows also to have more than two sides for each card. This would be interesting for me since I have the following problem:
If I have two sides for a card and I give hints on the back side to memorize the card then I can not use the backside to find the word to memorize on the front side.
So I would need three sides:
one for the word, one for the translation, one for the hint to recall the word.

IS Anki able to create three sided or mult-sided cards?
Also org-drill permitts interesting import, export and convesion functions. It would be grat if they could be added to Ank.
Especially the formats to export are very limited. Also import could be more...
Could this be improved?

You can approximate extra sides with the 'hint field' functionality, but generally speaking it is best to keep your cards simple so they can be scheduled more effectively.

Can you give me an example or produce a template?

Assume you have a field call Hint and another field called Reference.

In Reference, put the URI of a webpage with more information (or even a bogus URI).

Put this somewhere on your card:
    <a href="{Reference}" title="{Hint}">More Info</a>

Now you will see a "More Info" link on the card. If you click on it, your default browser will try to go to the Reference. But if you just hover over, you will probably see the Hint appear. (You might not—depends on details of your platform.)

The hint fields section is part of that section:

There is not a pre-made template for you; you will need to make your own.
