Why can I not do unlimited study sessions for a deck every day?

This program is incredibly confusing. It only lets me study flash cards once a day, which is useless. There is no unlimited mode. I have read other answers in various places but they all redirect to the "Getting Help" guide which still makes no sense. I'm very new to this program, but it should be spelled out a little clearer somewhere. Can anyone help me figure this out?

    First off, if you don't want to use scheduling, you should not be using
    Anki at all.

    If you normally want to use scheduling but just want to study outside the
    set times at certain times, take a look at
