Exporting a group of tagged cards to import them into another deck

I have recently upgraded my Anki, and am not sure how to export tagged cards into a file so I can then import them into another deck?

Could you possibly explain how to do this, or is there an easier way with the new Anki?

Once you have tagged them, you can create a filtered deck (from the Tools menu), type "tag:thetag" as the search, set the limit to something higher than the number of tagged cards, and export the resulting filtered deck. (When you're done, delete the filtered deck to restore the cards to their original locations.)

Thanks very much for the help, but I have now exported 20 cards into what anki has called a "collection." Whenever I try to import them into a new deck (a normal deck, not a filtered deck), it just creates a filtered deck and leaves my new deck empty.

Is there any way to import these cards into a new deck normally, without involving any filtered decks?

(I already deleted the original 20 cards from the deck I was trying to move them from)

Ah, in the new version of Anki you don't have to export to move cards to a
new deck, you only export when you want to send cards to someone else or
put them in a new profile. Instead you can use the "change deck" button in
    the browser.
